If this is a video (card) issue, I would be perfectly happy if it used the CPU for processing and ran slower (and indeed I set that option but to no effect). It says "Using fit view on large images may introduce slowdown when updating the preview", then instantly gives the processing error message. There is a popup that appears just before the processing error, finally caught it on a screen shot. I'm on 3.3.1, it was just downloaded for the trail.Īlso worth noting I tried it both called as a plugin from photoshop and run directly, no change. I just installed 3.3.1 which works without problems. There were some problems with version 3.3.0. Which Topaz Sharpen AI version do you use? Other than lack of masking, I think I can actually produce a processed output file, it appears to be a preview display issue not a background processing issue.ĭoes anyone have any ideas? Is a high end video card required just for use? I am not trying to make it run fast, I just want it to run? I tried support from their forum, but it won't let me post (apparently you have to be registered for a while before you can). I tried support from Topaz, but they are closed. I did just update the NVidia drivers to the latest (no change) and Windows is current. Pixinsight, Photoshop and Lightroom all have no issues with it, including running Starnet++ on the same GPU fairly quickly.

The image is large (18269x12179) but not that unusual, it's a drizzle integration from a full frame camera.

I have tried this with nothing else running, and lots of programs running, no change. Task Manager is showing memory in use at 13g (of 128g) and video of 1.5/4g dedicated and 0.1/64g shared. The only weak part is the GPU (since all those miners are still sucking up all GPU's). The system is a Windows 10 Pro x 64, AMD 3970X (32 core), with 128GB of memory, and terabytes of available SSD/NVMe disk. Thinking this was my mediocre GPU (a GTX 970) I changed the "AI Processor" from auto to CPU. Without a mask, and zoomed in 100%, it all looks good. This occurs anytime I zoom out, and anytime at any resolution I try to use masking.

I still cannot process an image, I get "Not enough video memory to allocate space for image". Doing a trial of Topaz Sharpen AI, using it for astro images.
